Matthew D. Pratt
Personal Story
Matt‘s interest in wealth was shaped by family experiences with building, losing and thinking differently about money. His grandfather’s stock certificates and family history influenced the way Matt thinks about the relationship between money and life.
Career Story
Matt began in financial services in 2004 with New England Financial, later worked with Mike Thompson, moved through industry changes, joined Arkadios in 2020 and ultimately purchased the business through a succession plan. The remaining ownership transition followed Mike Thompson’s death in March 2025.
Approach
Matt believes financial advice should be personal, understandable and direct. Rather than defaulting to a product, he asks what makes sense for the client’s circumstances.

Randy Autrey
With more than five decades of experience working with numbers, businesses, markets, and people, Randy Autrey brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to Thompson Pratt Capital Management.
Randy’s interest in working with numbers began at an early age. After enlisting in the military and serving four years as a First Lieutenant beginning in 1966, he went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1971. He then spent two years with Arthur Young & Company, completing the requirements for his CPA certificate before returning home to purchase his father’s accounting firm in 1973.
After nearly two decades in accounting, Randy realized that his passion was less about looking backward at what had already happened and more about helping people plan for what comes next. In 1990, he sold his interest in the firm and shifted his focus toward helping individuals and families use their financial resources to prepare for the years ahead.
Randy later met Matt Pratt while working with New England Insurance Company, beginning a professional relationship that would eventually bring the two of them together at Thompson Financial. Once the two friends joined, they later changed the name to Thompson Pratt. Over the past eight to nine years, Randy has focused extensively on the markets, stocks, and investments. He brings a wealth of knowledge with his analytical and insurance background, along with decades of financial experience to his work with clients.
Randy believes numbers are more than figures on a page; they are tools that can help people make better decisions and build a more confident financial future. His approach combines technical knowledge with a genuine desire to understand the people behind the numbers and help them pursue their goals.
Outside of work, Randy enjoys golf and cooking and values time spent with his family. He and his wife have shared 67 years together and are proud parents of two sons and grandparents to four grandchildren. His long career, commitment to family, and passion for helping others reflect the same values he brings to every client relationship: experience, trust, and a focus on the future.
